Hey students! 👋

As a qualified Guidance Counsellor, I want to chat with you — yes you, 5th years and Leaving Certs — about something that can make a real difference to your future plans:.

JUNE OPEN DAYS! 🏫✨

Whether you're firm in your CAO choices or still figuring things out (which is totally okay), open days are an amazing opportunity you won’t want to miss.

🎯 What Are Open Days?

Open Days are events hosted by colleges, universities, and training centres that invite YOU to explore their campuses, meet students and staff, and get a feel for life there.

You’ll get the chance to:

✅ Sit in on course talks

✅ Tour facilities, labs, and lecture halls

✅ Chat with lecturers and current students

✅ Ask your questions in person

✅ Learn about student life, accommodation, and supports

💡 Why June Open Days Matter (Especially for 5th & 6th Years)

👉 For Leaving Cert Students:

You might be thinking, “Sure I’m nearly done, what’s the point now?”Well, here’s the thing — if you’re still unsure about your first choice or wondering what a particular course really looks like, a June open day can help you feel more confident and informed before finalizing any choices or preparing for college life this autumn. 🎯

👉 For 5th Years:

This is your time to explore without pressure! Think of open days as research missions 🕵️‍♂️ — see what’s out there, gather info, and start shaping your goals. You’ll be way ahead of the game come CAO season next year!

🚀 Benefits of Attending in June

🌟 Less crowded than autumn open days

🌟 Staff and students are often more available for chats

🌟 Helps you stay motivated during the final term

🌟 You can use the summer to reflect and explore more

🌟 Gives you clarity and direction for the months ahead
